The CBI is a business membership organisation that provides political, economic and regulatory insight to its members, as well as providing events to showcase your business.

Federation of Small Businesses

With a mission to help smaller businesses achieve their ambitions, the Federation of Small Businesses can offer advice, financial expertise, support and a voice in Government.

Support, advice and guidance for growing your business is available directly from HM Government.


Growthworks

Growthworks is a business growth service that has been set support the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority in delivering jobs and business growth to the region. Current support for West Suffolk businesses includes the Revenue Support Grant.


Institute of Directors (IOD)

The IoD is a thriving membership community for directors in the UK and beyond, where you can connect with other leaders, develop your skills and be heard.


MENTA

MENTA helps businesses to grow by offering advice, training, events, networking and space. They have business unit to rent in Haverhill, Brandon and Bury St Edmunds, and also recently opened @INC, a flexible co-working space in Bury St Edmunds. They also run on behalf of West Suffolk Council the Start Up Grant, aiming to support entrepreneurs in West Suffolk with the costs of that first step to self-employment.


New Anglia Growth Hub

The New Anglia Growth Hub offers free advice and support for businesses looking to take the next step. Their current support includes the popular Small Grants Scheme, Scale Up New Anglia and the Growth through Innovation fund.


NWES

Nwes is a not-for-profit enterprise agency, providing total business support to boost self-employment and encourage enterprise, which includes their regular and free 1st Steps to Start Up courses, giving an overview of all you need to get started as an entrepreneur.


Oxford Innovation

For those based at The Epicentre, Haverhill, Oxford Innovation’s ‘Innovation Director’ can help scale your business to the next level. Access to grants, help with investment decks, creating clear commercial strategies and marketing are some examples.


Scale Up New Anglia

A high performing fully funded programme of support for business owners and leaders who are in the process of scaling up.


Suffolk Chambers of Commerce

The largest independent private forum in the county, Suffolk Chamber of Commerce supports and represents local business interests. As well as providing business support and networking events Suffolk Chamber is the voice of local business regarding local, national and European issues.


West Suffolk Council

West Suffolk Council can provide information and guidance on a range or topics including Planning, Licensing, Health and Food Safety, Public Sector Procurement and available premises.
