Businesses find your next match at Mildenhall Jobs and Skills Fair

Tuesday 12 December 2023

Businesses looking for new recruits in the new year, book a stall at the Mildenhall Jobs and Skills Fair taking place on Valentine’s Day in 2024.

Returning after previous success, the fair will be the first one of 2024. The fair will be on from 10am until 12.30pm on Wednesday 14 February 2024 at Mildenhall Hub.

The Jobs and Skills Fair is a valuable asset to companies as it provides a platform to showcase their business and offers the chance to engage with candidates directly.

Local businesses from all sectors are invited to attend to promote their roles and opportunities that are on offer. Training providers and wellbeing services are also invited to participate.

Employers that have previously been to the fairs have offered interviews, work trials and jobs to attendees. Businesses and charities alike have successfully recruited through the jobs and skills fairs.

Those keen to have a free stand can express their interest by completing this application form. For any additional information contact skills@westsuffolk.gov.uk.

Cllr Indy Wijenayaka, Cabinet Member for Growth at West Suffolk Council, said:
“It is fantastic that Mildenhall is hosting the first of many jobs and skills fairs in 2024. These have proven extremely successful over the past few years, and I look forward to seeing businesses and residents continue to reap the benefits. West Suffolk Council works in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions to deliver these events to support residents in learning new skills and finding employment. I would like to encourage businesses from all employment sectors in West Suffolk to have a stall to aid recruitment to their workforce.”

The fair will be open to the general public to attend, so for those looking for a job, a change of career or training, please save the date.

Anyone who is unable to attend on the day can still find out how West Suffolk Council can help by contacting skills@westsuffolk.gov.uk.
